Central Valley Academy teacher assistant Lori Deveans is the ADHD & Autism Psychological Services and Advocacy (AAPSA) 2017 “AAPSAlutely Amazing Educator.” The award recognizes Mrs. Deveans for significantly and positively impacting the lives of students with developmental disabilities. AAPSA gives the award in concert with Autism Awareness Month in April.

Mrs. Deveans received a $500 gift card and an award in her name. Special Education teacher Amy Billing nominated Mrs. Deveans for the honor.

Her nomination stood out to our award committee because of her constant guidance and commitment she has for her students,” said Danielle Polidori, AAPSA Program Development and Marketing Manager.

“She has proven time and time again to be a trusted and reliable para-professional who maintains great relationships with both students and teachers. It was clear to us that Mrs. Deveans is well appreciated for her valuable hard work and nurturing personality. AAPSA was more than happy to give her this gift because we strive to recognize educators that keep going no matter how difficult it can be. Her dedication is admirable!”
