Voters approve 2017-18 budget

Central Valley School District voters went to polls on Tuesday, May 16 and approved the district’s proposed 2017-18 school budget. The budget passed with 86.8 percent in favor.

The $44,975,000 budget decreases spending 0.26 percent or $119,500 over the current year and carries a 1.69 percent tax levy increase.

The final count was:

  • Yes— 589
  • No— 88

Voters also elected Kelly Rowland and Travis Costin to the Board of Education. The final count for each candidate was:

  • Kelly Rowland—446
  • Travis Costin—426
  • Patrick Doherty—321
