Answering bus number/letter questions

On opening day, Central Valley schools received numerous calls asking staff to clarify busing information. Letters mailed to parents late in the summer listed morning buses as letter, but afternoon buses a numbers followed by the letter “P.”.

According to Transportation Director Chad Francisco, the district uses letters to identify buses. The use of numbers was an error when using the transportation software to help draft the letters.

The “P” was short for p.m. and the numbers refer to letters of the alphabet where 1=A, B=2, etc. as outlined below:
