Ms. Kramas & student in front yard, balloon, sign

On Friday, May 29, Central Valley teachers and staff formed a caravan and drove to the home of each of CVA Class of 2020’s top ten students. The special event replaced the school tradition of honoring students in a special ceremony in school, which was not possible during the COVID restrictions.

Prior to the evening, Principal Dick Keeler contacted each student’s family to make certain they would be home on Friday evening. Families did their best to keep the plans a secret. At each home, Mr. Keeler placed a sign in the front yard and Assistant Principal Sally. Kramas held up a “picture frame” for a brief video. All the while, the train of roughly 20 cars blew their horns and yelled out of their windows for the smiling honorees.
