On Thursday, Mar 10, NJROTC Area 4 Manager Commander Jimmy Miller conducted the annual inspection of Central Valley CSD's NNDCC program. The day-long inspection is part of the annual review, ensuring the program is adhering to the Navy's high standards.

CDR Miller began by meeting with NNDCC Instructor Chief Matthew Snyder, then headed into the main gym for a public inspection of the cadets. Parents and other invited guests sat in the stands and watched the inspection, pass in review, demonstrations by several drill teams. Central Valley CSD Superintendent Jeremy Rich and CDR Miller spoke to the cadets and guests. Special guest Susan Jaquish, Legislation Director for  Assemblyman Brian Miller presented CO Nicholas Shedd and XO Shreya Patel with certificates, recognizing them as recipients of NJROTC scholarships and for Shreya's acceptance at the U.S. Naval Academy.


Following the public portion of the inspection, CDR Miller met with the cadet leadership team to review the unit's procedures and records. At the end of the day, he met with Mr. Rich to discuss the program and ways it can contribute to the school's success.

Chief Snyder said the unit will receive a final summary of the inspection in roughly a month.
