100 days and heart formed with coins

Valentine's Day is always Feb. 14. This year, the 100th Day of School also falls on Feb. 14. How can Fisher Elementary School celebrate two very different events on the same day?

Well, the Fisher Family will celebrate in the way it knows best—by giving back to the community!

A Fisher student is currently in the hospital for extended treatment. To help the family with expenses, the school will hold a special coin drive.

But here's the catch.

Students are invited to bring in change. It doesn't matter whether it is one coin or more. It doesn't matter whether it is a penny, nickel, dime, quarter, or even larger. The goal is for each classroom to collect 100 coins to recognize the 100th Day.

So, on  Monday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 14, send your Fisher student to school with a coin or two or more. Each class will celebrate the 100th Day of School by collecting 100 coins. And the entire school will show some Valentine's Day love to a Fisher friend.

(And yes, the school will gladly accept more than 100 coins from each class.)
