Seniors take advantage of Herkimer College Instant Admit Day

Seventeen CVA seniors took advantage of Herkimer College’s Instant Admit Day on Monday, Nov. 25. Representatives of Herkimer College met with CVA students, explained the college’s many offerings, and helped complete admission paperwork. At the conclusion, the students are accepted and ready to start college at Herkimer this fall.

Key Club’s Socktober collects almost 300 pairs

Thanks to everyone who contributed to CVA Key Club’s Socktober campaign. Thanks to your generosity, the members are sending almost 300 pairs of new socks to Catholic Charities’ Herkimer County Homeless and Runaway Youth program.

The Herkimer BOCES board of education voted to hold a vote on Tuesday, Mar. 31 on a referendum that will authorize the BOCES board to purchase to former Remington school building for $1 plus closing costs. Fisher celebrates Fred Rogers and World Kindness Day

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Fisher Elementary celebrated “World Kindness Day.” In the spirit of Fred Rogers, students wore their favorite cardigan or sweater to recognize the day and honor his commitment to promoting kindness.  They also wrote thank you notes to others in the school to spread kindness and show appreciation.
