Voting is a civic duty and privilege.
Barringer Road Elementary School took advantage of the Election Day 2016 to reinforce that message with young Thunder. Many classrooms read articles, and discussed the job description and requirements of the President. Students then took their turn in the democratic process. They stepped behind a curtain, completed a paper ballot, and dropped the ballot in the voting box. Each voter received an “I Voted” sticker.
The results? Barringer Road students chose Donald Trump as their President Elect.
