Career exploration through the Regional Program of Excellence

Nine Central Valley Academy seniors completed the 2014-15 Regional Program of Excellence. These students had the opportunity to explore a career field by observing and working with professionals for over 70 hours. Throughout the program the students were required to complete program projects, essays and activities. On April 27 student projects were displayed at an end of year ceremony held at Herkimer College.

“This is a great opportunity for students to gain insight in the career field before they started college,” said CVA Guidance Counselor Shannon Darrow. “The students handled this opportunity with great professionalism.”
