Barringer Candy Cane Sale raises $559 for Humane Society

Barringer Road Elementary held a candy cane sale this December to help raise funds for the Herkimer Humane Society. The students sold 2,236 candy canes for 25 cents each—$559 raised for the dogs and cats at the shelter. Melissa Bennett of the Herkimer Humane Society graciously accepted the check from the students. Barringer supports Heart Run and Walk

Barringer Road stepped up in the fight against heart disease and stroke by raising $535 that it donated to American Heart Association.
