Central Valley BOE to focus internally for new superintendent

The Central Valley School District Board of Education will focus its search for a new school superintendent on internal candidates.

The Board announced this course of action as it seeks to replace former superintendent Dr. Richard Hughes. Hughes resigned as superintendent at the district’s Dec. 14 Board of Education meeting after accepting a new position as a superintendent in western New York. The Board voted that night to appoint Assistant Superintendent Jeremy Rich as Acting Superintendent.

Board of Education President Kelly Rowland indicated the Board is committed to finding and appointing the right candidate as quickly as possible.
