On Tuesday, Apr. 9, Central Valley will host Weed Between the Lines/Vaping Me Crazy, a candid look at the rise of casual marijuana use and vaping in students. Free pizza and salad begins at 5:45 p.m. in the Central Valley Academy cafeteria. The presentation follows 6:30-8 p.m. in the Central Valley Academy auditorium. Learn more in the event flyer.
The evening is open to area residents and includes free babysitting, free food, and an entry into a gift card raffle.
“The rise in vaping, especially JUULs, is a serious problem in school,” said CVA Principal Dick Keeler.
“We held assembly and hung posters to educate our students and staff. We have reached a point where we need to inform our parents and community members.”
In addition to the facts and consequences of smoking and vaping, presenters from Steered Straight, Inc. will offer ways to reach students with the message.
