CVA honors top students

On Thursday, Oct. 22, Central Valley Academy held its first Academic Achievement Banquet at Francesca’s Banquet & Catering in Ilion to honor those students who made Honor Roll or Principal’s Honor Roll for all four quarters of the 2014-15 school year. Principal Rich Keeler, Superintendent Rich Hughes and Board of Education Vice President Bill Lennox each spoke briefly to the students congratulating them on their hard work and encouraging them to be role models for their classmates.

Mr. Keeler recognized CVA guidance secretary Karen Casler for her hard work organizing the event. He also recognized Tim Day of Day, Scarafile and Read Insurance who donated $1,000 to help defray the cost of the banquet. Mr. Day committed to continue his support in future years to promote academic excellence at Central Valley.
