The Honor Society Club encouraged the students at Central Valley Academy to participate in the Pennies for Patients Campaign which raises funds the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students saved their spare change Apr. 7-May 1 to see which first period class would raise the most.
CVA students raised over $930 and it was Mrs. Burney’s first period class who won the challenge by raising the most cash. For coming out on top, the entire class was rewarded donuts and bagels.
