CVA’s Crim advances to state meet with Section 3 qualifier wins

CVA Senior Zach Crim will advance to next weekend’s New York State high school track and field championship following his Division II winning long and triple jumps in the Section 3 qualifying meet held on Friday, June 3 at Cicero-North Syracuse,

Crim long-jumped 22 feet 3 inches, topping his personal best by 10 inches. He followed that with a triple jump of 45 feet 5 inches, beating his closest competitor by almost three feet.

Crim goes on to compete at the state meet on June 10-11, again at Cicero- North Syracuse.

CVA’s 4 x 100 meter relay team barely missed qualifying as Michael Slaughter, Rene Sumanasuriya,
Adam Klosner, and Zach Crim ran third in a time of 45.59 seconds. The team finished barely one foot behind second place Westhill-Ludden.
