Think engineering is dull? Watch this “Dream Big” trailer

Central Valley Academy will host a showing for all Central Valley students of the highly acclaimed movie “Dream Big” at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 8 in the LGI. The presentation is made possible by Upstate Engineers.

“We’re inviting all Central Valley students, regardless of their ages. We want to disprove some of their negative thought about engineering and let them see that engineering is a much about creativity and art as it is math and science,” said CVA Technology teacher Ted Misiaszek.

Dream Big showcases engineering marvels around the world. From Dubai’s record high skyscrapers to bridges soaring through the clouds, students can experience the massive scale and forces of nature that challenge engineers. Released world wide in 2017, funded by BECHTEL and narrated by Jeff Bridges this movie will no doubt capture the imagination of our future engineers.
