Fisher music class teaches patriotism in song and action

American Legion Commander shows first graders how to properly dispose of an old American Flag

On May Fisher Elementary first graders sang “You’re a Grand Old Flag” as part of their their May 17 Spring Sing concerts. After their concerts, all first graders learned about the proper disposal of soiled and damaged flags from Rich Monahan of the Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post 25. At the end of his presentation, students presented him with a collection of old flags they had helped collect from the community.
