Jarvis Middle School’s fifth grade took advantage of Super Bowl season to kick off its “Third Annual Souper Bowl” fundraiser for the Herkimer-Mohawk Food Pantry.

From Jan. 27 through Feb. 5 students were invited to bring in a nonperishable food item or cash donation. They could vote by placing the item on either the Denver Broncos or Carolina Panthers end of a table decorated as a football field. Each item or each dollar earned the student one vote.

How much food did they collect? Who do the students favor? Check back on Friday, Feb. 5 for the final count!
