Jarvis Middle School eighth grader Sianna Kenyon is the recipient of the Col. Marinus Willett-Mohawk Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Youth Citizenship Award. Program chair Barbara Yates, presented Sianna a certificate and a pin in recognition of the honor.

School faculty nominated Sianna based on her honor, service, courage, and leadership exhibited in her classes and interactions with her classmates. She is a leader who works conscientiously and cooperatively with her classmates.  In class, she excels in math, opening the door to future education and successful career paths. She models integrity, which has earned her peers’ respect and admiration. Her teachers and classmates recognize her daily, polite respect for the American flag during the Pledge of Allegiance.

Her leadership skills, school citizenship, and academic achievement, and the positive example she sets for others to follow make her a worthy recipient of this honor.  Sianna is the daughter of Kelly Salewski, of Ilion, New York and Jack Kenyon.
