    What’s in a bag meal?

individual servings of various foods displayed on tableQuestion:  What is in that brown bag that Central Valley is distributing to our students?

Answer:  A nutritious lunch and breakfast that meets all federal guidelines for healthy meals.

While schools are closed due to coronavirus, Central Valley is making school meals available to all of our students. The USDA, which oversees the school nutrition program, authorized schools to continue serving our students throughout the shutdown.

Members of our cafeteria staff voluntarily come in each day to make up the meals. Together with bus drivers, bus monitors, and school administrators, they are delivering those lunches to various pickup points throughout our Central Valley community. (Where can I pick up a meal?)
