Hi! My name is Adrienne Watson. I am a Kindergarten teacher at Fisher Elementary and have been teaching for 12 years.
What do you like best about what you do?
I enjoy the moments I see a student “get it.” I love the “Ahaa!” moments.
What event here at Central Valley CSD has made/makes a difference to you personally and in your career?
Last year Fisher hosted a visual art show and interactive painting experience. “Donuts and Doodling” allowed the students to explore their creative sides. The event was fun and rewarding for everyone who participated.
Where are you involved outside of school and what do you like best about it?
Scrapbooking with my friends – it is enjoyable and relaxing.
What former jobs have you held?
Camp counselor, waitress, job coach.
Where were you educated?
Herkimer County Community College and SUNY College at Brockport.
Where have you lived?
I grew up in Mohawk and still live in Central New York.
If you could do anything on a weekend, what would you do?
Spend time with my husband and son.
What book and/or author are you currently reading?
Whatever my Jack picks out. He loves Eric Carle!
If we were to listen to your iPod or sound system, what would be playing?
Jack Johnson, Dispatch or James Taylor.
What is your favorite television show/movie/actor?
The Newsroom, Dancing with the stars.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to Ireland with my family to meet our relatives still living there.
What one thing would you share that people might not know about you?
I did my student teaching in Brisbane, Australia. I taught “year 2” and lived there for two months.
