Hi! My name is Ellen Luppino. I am the CVA Principal Secretary and have worked with Ilion and Central Valley school districts for six years.
What do you like best about what you do?
I like the fast pace and how each day is different.
What event here at Central Valley School District has made/makes a difference to you personally and in your career?
I like watching the growth in the students as they mature from incoming freshman to graduating seniors.
What do you do outside of school?
I love anything outdoors—skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, etc. And I love home improvement projects.
What former jobs have you had?
I was a customer service associate at Lowes in Herkimer. I ran my own daycare while my children were growing up.
Where were you educated?
I graduated from Midlakes High School, Clifton Springs, NY (in the Fingerlakes) and then went to
Herkimer County Community College where I earned my Associate Degree in Business Administration
Where have you lived?
Fort Bragg, GA, New York’s Fingerlakes, and Mohawk.
If you could do anything on a weekend, what would you do?
Spend time with my kids.
If we were to listen to your iPod or sound system, what would be playing?
Country or soft pop
What is your favorite television show/movie/actor?
I love “The Big Bang Theory.”
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Germany. My parents lived there right after they got married. I loved looking at their pictures and hearing the stories of the time they spent there.
What one thing would you share that people might not know about you?
I (we) have two children. Our daughter is a seventh grade English teacher in Saratoga. Our son is the Executive Director of Adaptive Training Foundation in Dallas.
