Thank you and Merry Christmas from Barringer to our military

Michelle Winfield’s third grade class displays their Christmas cards that will be distributed to soldiers passing through a special military waiting room at the Syracuse Airport.

Barringer Road Elementary students took time in late November to thank our military by making Christmas cards for soldiers.  The cards will be delivered to the Gregory J. Harris Courtesy Room at the Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

As one of only a handful of privately funded military lounges in the nation, the Harris Courtesy Room provides servicemen and woman with snacks, beverages and a comfortable place to wait and rest for flights or transportation to many of the local military installations. A large number of those men and women are part of the 10th Mountain Division based at Ft. Drum near Watertown.
