Join Central Valley Central School District 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 for a Zoom parent workshop entitled, "Living in Virtual Reality.”

Why join in?

Every year, we discover new technologies intended to bring us closer together.  Those technologies, however, often draw young people into a digital world and away from face-to-face contact with their peers. The result can be a stark disconnect with other humans, harming our youth.

This is truer now than ever before amidst this “new normal” of people living, working and learning in “Virtual Reality.” In this interactive workshop participants will learn how this boom of technology is affecting young people and the impact that social media is having on their mental health and well-being.

This workshop is presented by Carrie Conte and Jeremy Butler, both of ICAN (formerly Kids Oneida) with funding from the Herkimer County Youth Bureau.
