The Central Valley Central School District Foundation recently named Rebecca Hale (CVA '14) as its 2021 Panarites Medical Award recipient. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a Central Valley alum who has completed an undergraduate program, has been accepted into a medical or healthcare-related higher education program, and whose application outlines his or her future goals as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant.

Hale is a 2018 graduate of the University of New York at Buffalo and is currently enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of South Carolina. She is employed as a nurse at MUSC hospital in Charleston; working in the surgical trauma burn unit as well as the hospital's COVID-19 intensive care unit.
