Central Valley CSD will no longer require students or staff to wear masks for activities outside school buildings. The change aligns with new state guidance announced late on Monday, June 7.

Central Valley will still require masks inside school buildings in accordance with the state's current requirements. School officials expect indoor masking will remain in effect for the remainder of the school year.

Gov. Cuomo announced that following conversations with the Centers for Disease Control and  Prevention, New York would drop the outdoor masking requirement. The new guidelines align with those the CDC announced for outdoor summer camps.
