The Jarvis Middle School National Junior Honor Society sponsored a November food drive to support the Catholic Charities food pantry. To encourage participation, NJHS offered a party to the advisory that brought in the most number of items.  Seventh grade teacher Karen Crouse and  the 22 students in her advisory took top honors, donating 309 of the more than 1,100 items collected for the month.

Way to go Mrs. Crouse's advisory! That's less than four percent of the Jarvis students contributing more than 25 percent of the collection!

National Junior Honor Society is a service organization designed to promote the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship within a school. Each year, teachers nominate students who demonstrate those high ideals in school and the community.

Catholic Charities provides critical support for area families. They offer a wide range of social, spiritual, and physical services, such as the food pantry, a thrift store, transitional housing, rides for senior medical appointments, and more.
