Central Valley CSD is saddened to learn that Jarvis Middle School fifth grade teacher Ryan Biamonte has passed away unexpectedly.
In response, Tuesday, Feb. 8 will be a remote learning day for all Jarvis students grades 5-8. Students will log in to their Google Classrooms at the normal time for synchronous learning. Please note that some classes may be asynchronous, meaning teachers will assign work, but will not be present.
This change is to give school officials time to staff Jarvis with counselors to support students and staff who may be struggling with the tragic news.
Losing a member of the school community can raise feelings of sadness, confusion and even anger. We encourage our parents to talk with your children. Discussing thoughts and feelings about death is an important step to help work through this difficult situation. If you notice any changes in mood or behavior, please reach out to your school principal, counselors or school psychologist.
