2020-21 Summary of District Goals

  1. Develop a district/school culture that better understands and supports  students who face poverty (Grades 1-12), which will result in increased student attendance due to enhanced student engagement and relationship practices

  2. Utilize data to align and prioritize writing curriculum, resources, and standards grades K-8 

  3. Engaging the reluctant learner through access to hands-on on experiences and real-world opportunities grades K-12

  4. Reimagine the collaborative process between special education teachers and general education teachers to provide greater implementation of instructional strategies and differentiation for at-risk learners grades 5-12

  5. Expand teacher professional development opportunities (i.e. literacy, classroom management, motivational speakers) in grades K-12

We will also focus on continuing to strengthen relationships with community and staff by keeping things positive through all forms of communication, along with continuing to balance staffing with programs while being conscientious with how to maneuver through COVID and the expense of it. Finally, in regards to wellness, we certainly have an obligation to constantly reach out to our students/staff for their emotional well-being, we already have it built into our re-opening plan as a focus area.
