How can I watch when events are live-streamed? Central Valley varsity turf field events will be streamed on HUDL. Create your account, then search for Central Valley Academy, Ilion, NY, and click on the event you want to watch. It's free. (Some of our opposing teams subscribe to the same service, so you you can watch those games, too.)
Central Valley School District offers a range of athletic programs to students for modified, junior varsity, and varsity teams. The district participates in New York State Public High School Student Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) section III sports.
Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act
The Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act is a new law as of July 1, 2022. This law requires schools, students, and parents/guardians to have information on sudden cardiac arrest risks, signs, and symptoms. Please note that sudden cardiac arrest in children and youth is rare. The incidence of sudden cardiac death (SCD) on the playing field is 0.61 in 100,000. 1
All Central Central School District Coaches and Supervisors will be trained and will be sharing information with their athletes prior to the start of their seasons.

Sports Physicals and COVID-19 information
Due to the rare incidence of heart complications resulting from a COVID-19 infection (learn more here), New York State now requires that parents/guardians of high school student-athletes complete and sign a student-athlete health history form that includes questions about the student's COVID-19 and family heart health history. Also, any athlete who had COVID-19 must have a physician's release, clearing the student-athlete for competition.
To be eligible to practice and compete, parents or guardians must provide the following to the school nurse before the student-athlete’s first practice:
The student-athlete Blue Card,
COVID-19 and Family Heart Health history form,
Proof of a current physical,
Physician's release to compete after COVID-19, if needed.
Return to play - If a student tests positive, Central Valley will follow this Return to Play for athletes and PE protocol.
