Parent & Student Guide to Connecting to Google Classroom

Many Central Valley School District teachers are using Google Classroom.  This is a great tool that enable learning to take place in a secure environment, anyplace you can access the internet.

Parents can (how to connect to your student’s Google Classroom):

  • Monitor their students’ progress in a Google Class, and
  • Communicate with the teacher.

Students can (how to join your Google Classroom):

  • Receive classroom materials and assignments,
  • Complete and submit assignments,
  • Receive teacher feedback or grades,
  • Work on group projects if assigned, and
  • Communicate with the teacher.

Teachers can:

  • Assign materials and assignments to students,
  • Respond to student questions and comments,
  • Comment and/or grade work that students submit, and
  • Communicate with parents.
