Threat of storms forces Barringer Memorial Day indoors, limits number of guests

Attention fourth grade parents and guardians!

The threat of thunderstorms on Thursday, May 22 has forced Barringer Road Elementary School administration to move the schoolwide Memorial Day celebration from outdoors to the school’s gym.

“We are making the change to keep all of our students safe. Unfortunately, our fourth graders—who will lead the activity—had been encouraged to invite friends and family to attend. Now that we have committed to moving inside, we will have limited space. We have no choice but to limit the number of guests to two per fourth grade student,” said Principal Jeremy Rich.
