Wounded Warriors benefit from volleyball

CVA girls junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams wanted to honor those that have served our country. They put their heads together and decided why not do something we love? Host a volleyball tournament to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project!

Central Valley Academy played host to the Volley for Vets Tournament January 11, 2014. Area schools were invited to participate and entrance fees collected were donated to the Wounded Warriors Project. Schools participating in the tournament were Central Valley Academy, Camden Central High School, Canastota Central School, Frankfort/Schuyler High School, Rome Free Academy, Sandy Creek Central School and Remsen Central School. The event raised $500 which team members were pleased to donate and they hope to continue to support the Wounded Warriors Project in the future.
