On Tuesday, Mar. 4, Fisher Elementary kicked off the school's 2025 PARP (Pick A Reading Partner) celebration with a school-wide assembly.
PARP is a voluntary nationwide program that asks a partner (parent, grandparent, babysitter, older sibling, cousin, friend, etc.) to read with a child for at least 20 minutes daily. Research shows that:
- Children who read at home are better prepared for school
- Reading together strengthens family bonds
- Reading can be fun and informative
- Reading together helps children develop creativity and wellbeing
A huge thanks to teacher Gina Scaparo and Library Assistant Courtney Crim for putting the following video together.
Enjoy!
