In January, Harry M. Fisher Elementary recognized December's Bucket Filler BFFs—those students who demonstrated November's Bucket Filler trait:  Generosity.

"Generosity is a willingness and readiness to give more of something, as money or time, than is strictly necessary or expected," said principal Jessica Bowman.

"Our December Bucket Fillers help encourage a culture of generosity at Fisher Elementary through their positive attitude and behavior. Generous students give to their fellow students without someone asking. We want our students to be thankful for what they have and want to share with others."

Each month, the Bucket Filler program focuses on just one trait. The goal is to slowly give students the tools they will need to get along with others at school, at home, and at work.

Bucket Filler t-shirts were purchased with donations from the Central Valley Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and the Central Valley Central School District Foundation.
