In February, Harry M. Fisher Elementary recognized January's Bucket Filler BFFs—those students who demonstrated January's Bucket Filler trait:  Acceptance.

"Acceptance is a willingness and ability to receive or endure people and circumstances," said principal Jessica Bowman.

"Our January Bucket Fillers help encourage a culture of acceptance at Fisher Elementary through their positive attitude and behavior. Accepting students invite others to join in without judgement or prejudice. They also hang tough, without complaining when things don't go as they plan or hope."

Each month, the Bucket Filler program focuses on just one trait. The goal is to slowly give students the tools they will need to get along with others at school, at home, and at work.

Bucket Filler t-shirts were purchased with donations from the Central Valley Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and the Central Valley Central School District Foundation.
