Gregory B. Jarvis Middle School will hold orientation for all of incoming fifth grade students 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Students new to Jarvis Middle School are also welcome at this time.
At orientation, students will receive their initial schedules (schedules will be subject to possible changes prior to the start of the year), listen to a presentation outlining expectations, and have the opportunity to walk the building. Students will also have time to practice their locker combinations and meet faculty and staff.
"We look forward to seeing everyone and we are very excited to begin a new school year. Please enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to seeing you on orientation night," said Charlie Pratt, Jarvis Middle School principal.
There is parking in the rear of the building or on the streets surrounding the Jarvis building. Please do not park on both sides of Grove Street. The side directly in front of the building needs to remain open should there be a building emergency. We will have both the Grove Street entrance and our back door to the cafeteria open.
