Current winter sports guidance

As of Nov. 19, 2021, Central Valley CSD will follow these winter sports protocols:

  • All spectators, athletes, officials, coaches and support staff are required to properly wear face coverings while indoors at all times unless sitting down to eat. "Until tolerated" is no longer an option.

  • Unlimited spectators are allowed

  • Locker rooms facilities will be available for home and visiting teams.

  • Space for officials will be provided.

  • Concessions will be in the CVA and Jarvis cafeteria.

  • There will be no communal water available. Athletes are encouraged to bring their own hydration.

  • We will be live streaming all events held in the Main Gym at CVA

  • Please do not park in the bus loop at CVA - this space is reserved for Emergency Vehicles only.

  • Upon conclusion of the event, please exit in a timely manner and do not congregate to allow our staff to begin proper cleaning.

Subject to change - check back often

This is Central Valley's current winter sports protocol. If COVID spikes or the data requires it, Central Valley will shift. Also note that each county—and even specific schools within a county—may have their own rules, especially regarding the number of spectators allowed. All updates for Central Valley and opposing schools will be posted on this page. Avoid the disappointment of being turned away at the door by visiting this page prior to each athletic contest.

Follow the mask mandate

Central Valley CSD Superintendent Jeremy Rich appreciates community and parent support. He recognizes that masks can be a divisive topic, but asks that fans follow the masking requirement.

"The only thing that I ask is that all involved cooperate with the mask mandate so that our supervisors don't have to be the mask police and all can enjoy the game," he said.

"Wearing a mask is a small price to pay for being able to watch our kids play. I appreciate your cooperation."
