The Parade of Graduates is a moment of pride as graduating seniors don their caps and gowns and march through their former schools. Many of their elementary and middle school teachers and staff reminisce about the seniors on their first days of their classrooms, eating in the cafeteria, or playing a sport.
The young students wait excitedly with signs and noisemakers. They cheer and clap, reaching out of an occasional high-five. Many wave to older siblings and friends. Others, especially the younger, are in awe of the "big kids" walking past. The event is a reminder that one day every student will walk through these halls as soon-to-be graduates.
