The Central Valley Central School District Foundation recently named the district’s students and employees of the fourth quarter of the 2022-23 school year.
The recognition program acknowledges students and employees each quarter with the hope that there will be recipients from each school building: Fisher and Barringer Elementary Schools, Jarvis Middle School, and CVA High School, as well as at the district level and CVCSD bus garage. If no nominations are received for a building, an additional student or employee from another building may be recognized.
The student recipients are:
Brayden Obreza, Jarvis seventh grader
for hard work, great manners, and excellent character
Morgan Herringshaw, CVA Senior
for inspiring leadership as secretary of the CVA Book Club
Sam Jacquays, CVA Senior
for leading by example, incredible effort, and character in the face of adversity
Lauren Jory, CVA Senior
for inspiring leadership as president of the CVA Book Club
The faculty and staff recipients are:
Bob Bush, CVA math teacher and head wrestling coach
for a successful career building the wrestling program
Dominick Mauro, Central Valley Food Service Director
for his efforts to elevate the quality and offerings in our cafeterias and opening CVA's Bistro Café
Jeff Mower, CVA English teacher and assistant wrestling coach
for a successful career building the wrestling program
Tracy Voce, CSE Chairperson
for unseen work and attitude
Connie Wren, CSE secretary
for unseen work and attitude
Christine Zaccaria, Barringer Road third grade special education aide
for classroom effort and attitude
