Central Valley CSD will dismiss early on Wednesday, Oct. 25 for the district's annual Emergency Go Home Drill. Students will dismiss on the following schedule:
- CVA & Jarvis at 10:45 a.m.
- Fisher & Barringer at 11:15 a.m.
New York State requires all schools to practice one emergency dismissal each year. Like a fire drill, the goal is to prepare staff and students for an early release due to a building emergency such as the loss of heat or other problem.
Staff will remain at school following student dismissal for professional development.
Families were notified via written correspondence and/or the district's communication tool ParentSquare. Information was also on the district calendar posted on the district website.
