On Oct. 31, Harry M. Fisher Elementary recognized October's Bucket Filler BFFs—those students who demonstrated October's Bucket Filler trait:  Respect.

"Respect is treating others with kindness, empathy, and consideration, and valuing their perspectives and feelings, said principal Jessica Bowman.

"Our October Bucket Fillers helped encourage a culture of respect and kindness at Fisher Elementary through their positive actions and words. Students found ways to uplift and support others. Thank you to our October Bucket Fillers for contributing to a more inclusive and connected school environment, and a sense of belonging for all."

"Bucket Filler is another way we teach our students the importance of positive behavior."

Each month, the Bucket Filler program focuses on just one trait. The goal is to slowly give  students the tools they will need to get along with others at school, at home, and at work.

Bucket Filler t-shirts were purchased with donations from the Central Valley Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and the Central Valley Central School District Foundation.
