CVA's boys basketball and boys volleyball teams have advanced to the Section 3 finals.
A strong fourth quarter propelled the #3 CVA Thunder basketball team past #2 seed Jamesville-Dewitt Rams 63-55 in the Section 3 semi final matchup on Feb. 27. With the win, the Thunder advance to the Section # Championship game versus #1 seed Westhill at 7 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 1 at the SRC Arena, Onondaga Community College.
The #2 CVA boys volleyball team punched their ticket to the finals by topping #3 seed VVS 3 matches to 1 on Feb. 27. The Thunder take on the #1 seed Chittenango Bears at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29 4 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 1 in the Jarvis Middle School gym. (Time/date change is due to both Chittenango and CVA being closed on Feb. 29. Tickets purchased for Thursday's volleyball game will be honored on Friday. )
