On Thursday evening, Jarvis Middle School Principal Charlie Pratt sent the following email to all parents/guardians whose email addresses are in the students' emergency contact information. Dear Parents/Guardians
Due to the closure of our building tomorrow Friday, November 6 all Jarvis Middle School students will have a virtual day. We realize that many children have not brought home their chromebooks. Please read carefully for our procedures tomorrow.
All Jarvis students will receive asynchronous learning tomorrow. If they have their chromebook, 5th & 6th grade should sign into their advisory in the morning & 7th & 8th grade students should sign in to first period. If your child cannot sign on please email your teachers for attendance. This means that children will sign in to all of their google classrooms and complete the assignments provided for them but not attend regular class zoom meetings. Teachers will be in the building and working, so they will be available for virtual meets, emails or phone calls from students and parents.
If your child needs a chromebook for tomorrow, please contact the school at 315 866-2620 in the morning starting at 6:30 a.m. Chromebooks will be available for pick up starting at 7:30 a.m. We can arrange to get your child’s chromebook and a staff member will bring it out to your car on Grove Street. Please call upon arrival and wait in your car.
